ChatGPT Reflection

ree

Over the years, I’ve always noticed a damning trait rearing its head when consulting Artificial Intelligence Language Models, they tend to over correct everything even to the point of no return– in this situation that's akin to changing the meaning– and Chat GPT is no different but that day in class had me horribly surprised. I ultimately decided to give my GPT model all the paragraphs I had so far, curiously anticipating and (between you and me) expecting grammar and huge sentence structure corrections but you could probably guess… I was hit in the face with a bouquet of flowers: “Smoothed sentence flow,” "tightened phrasing,” “improved… punctuation.” To be frank, I really didn’t get impactful feedback but rather side comments/corrections that proved invaluable compared to the feedback I received from the peer review; However, I wouldn’t be writing all this if that’s all I took from this experiment. At the end of the day –located on page one of the feedback (number 3)– I decided to incorporate a somewhat miniscule but intriguing change in punctuation and word structure; it happened to match my writing style.
